RADS - Radar Simulator

The RADS product provides the operator with a realtime simulation environment comparable to that experienced by operating a maritime surveillance Radar. It provides the complete set of operational capabilities along with a full reproduction of the GUI and control mechanisms. It has been designed and developed to be "Plug Compatible" with the Radar it simulates to allow it to be used as an integral part of the overall mission training system.

The RADS environment provides a repeatable simulation to ensure the instructor has predictable and consistent control. The instructor is provided with tools to plan and manage the simulation using native Microsoft® Windows applications in an intuitive and flexible environment.

The software has been designed and developed using industry standard techniques, including Object Orientated Design and Development, Relational Database store, TCP/IP communication mechanisms, and Microsoft® Windows standard APIs.





Touchscreen control

The coordinated control of single devices by multiple operators is an essential part of a modern multitasked environment. The system allows multiple independent touchscreens networked together to provide full failover control should any device fail.

This system is in operation for the Australian Customs Service controlling a wide range of mission system radios, and the onboard Radar system.
